POSITION OVERVIEW

At South Seas, the Concierge is more than a role, it’s the heartbeat of the guest experience.

From the moment a guest arrives, you become their trusted insider, their planner, their problem-solver, and often, the reason their stay becomes unforgettable. Whether it’s securing the perfect sunset dinner, planning a family adventure, or adding thoughtful touches to celebrate life’s special moments, you help turn a visit into a story worth sharing.

Set along the stunning shores of Captiva Island, South Seas is entering an exciting phase of growth and our Concierge team plays a key role in shaping what that experience looks and feels like for every guest who walks through our doors.

RATE OF PAY Full-time, hourly

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that reflects our coastal luxury brand.
  • Curate personalized itineraries including dining, recreation, excursions, and special experiences.
  • Anticipate needs before they’re expressed — delivering thoughtful, seamless service at every touchpoint.
  • Coordinate reservations, transportation, and unique experiences both on and off property.
  • Partner across departments to ensure every detail of the guest journey is flawlessly executed.
  • Turn challenges into opportunities to exceed expectations and create lasting impressions. 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional guest service, anticipating needs and providing personalized, high-touch experiences
  • Strong knowledge of local area attractions, dining, activities, and events, with the ability to confidently recommend and curate guest experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a polished and professional presence
  • Active listening skills to understand guest preferences and tailor recommendations accordingly
  • Proven problem-solving and service recovery skills, with the ability to resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, managing multiple requests while maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to drive revenue through thoughtful recommendations, upselling resort amenities, dining, and activities
  • Proficiency with property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and general computer applications
  • Ability to adapt communication style and service approach to a diverse, international guest population
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling guest information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment while maintaining composure under pressure
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, partnering effectively with other departments to enhance the guest experience

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed.
  • Prior experience in a luxury resort or a related field preferred. 
  • Previous experience in guest facing or customer service positions.
  • Multilingual abilities preferred

HOURS REQUIRED: Flexible schedule required, will be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
